From the time Eileen learned about au pairs (the real kind), she almost immediately became interested in becoming a counselor for EurAupair. Before long, she grew a pretty sizeable group for whom she was counselor.
Her job included finding matches in our local area for au pairs who became available, and then counseling both them and the hosting families on what it's like to be and host an au pair for one entire year. Besides this being a wonderful cultural experience for her, it gave us "first chance" at available au pairs for our own family as well as the occasional ability to "rescue" au pairs who did not work out for their host families.
