Just a beautiful, sunny day to take all the kids out to Lake Audubon, at the pier behind South Lakes shopping center.

The Allen/Barbash family, Brian and Susan, Alexandra, and Rachel, were and are very good friends. Our kids all grew up together. And we were pretty active at Congregation Beth Emeth, in Reston, VA, during those years.

I don't remember why we did this huge party for Andrew's 8th birthday, but we did.

Eileen took her group of au pairs (she was their counselor) to Mt. Vernon, VA after having them over at the house for a group photo.

The kids always enjoyed Chanukah. Probably because they got presents. Duh!

Capt. David J. Vogel is Bruce's half-brother from their father's first marriage. Dave retired from the Navy in December 2001.

While we were all in New Orleans, primarily so Bruce could attend his half-brother, Dave's, USN retirement ceremony, we figured the kids (and our au pair Christina) would enjoy taking-in some of the area attractions.
