In 1998, Bruce's career foray into the aerospace industry was just the attitude boost he needed! Not only that, his career as a contract software engineer really took off.
Gone were the days of Cold War projects that never saw the light of production and borne were the days of exciting new ones. Additionally, the "dot com bubble" was probably peaking during this time, and the stock market was very good to the Scherzinger family. Good enough to allow us to have a new home built that could accommodate Rachel's needs rather than remodeling one we didn't really like that much that would not gain any value if we did. This location is literally a mile from our previous home, over the border from Reston to Vienna, but still in the same public school district. What luck!
