Eileen and Bruce took another vacation to Europe, this time one that included a Rhine River cruise. As usual with these cruises, photos every day at a different location. Photos are grouped by location (pretty much by day) below.
The cruise was named the "Rhine and Moselle Fairtale" with AmaWaterways. If you are interested in seeing the photos in the order we took them, then follow the path of the cruise. Towns are listed alphabetically below.
We arrived in Amsterdam 3 days before the cruise and did a LOT of walking. Oh man, the bicycles!! Cross their path at your own peril. While in Amsterdam we met-up with the cousin of a local friend, who gave us a long walking tour that pointed out some popular places. It rained a good bit, but we seemed to be lucky and didn't get caught in any downpour.
At the end of the cruise we took a train from Basel to Lucerne, Switzerland, where we spent another few nights. Seriously, I consider Lucerne the highlight of the entire vacation.
