In 2000, things were starting to get stressful at home. Bruce and Eileen decided that a family outing was long overdue, especially given the new house, new au pair(s), and just life in general.
They discovered a hot air balloon company based in Northern Virginia. Pretty sure it was Balloons Unlimited, based in Middleburg. It was a foggy day, so our views were slightly obscured by clouds, but still a beautiful way to cool off some steam. Andrew was squeamish at first, but he eventually came around as he could barely see over the top of the gondola.
